Wandered in after a long walk up to Basilica Sacre’ Coeur. Delicious chèvre salad and Cote de Rhône. Waitress was wonderful. Recommend.
The Qui Parle is a tiny café in Montmatre with a small but quite versatile menu. This time we were there in a group of four and had the escargots de Bourgogne (snails with lots of garlic!), raviole de Royan a l'huile de truffle (ravioli with cheese and truffle oil) and the soupe a l'oignon (onion soup) as starters. For the main course we took again the raviole with truffle, tartare de boeuf (beef tartare), and the "La belle salad de chevre chaud" (basically salad with lots of cheese and honey etc.). While I personally don't like truffles, the others told me that the ravioli were excellent, as were the snails, the soup, and the cheese salad! Especially the latter was just huge and looked stunning! As for the beef tartare: This was actually one of the reasons why we went there again after having visited in 2017. It was perfect, served with roasted potatoes. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful despite our large knowledge gaps regarding the French language 🫣 As for the furniture and style, it's exactly what you'd expect in a French café and everything including the toilet was tidy and clean 🙂 I think Le Café Qui Parse might be the one restaurant in Paris that will always be on my list when in town!
Went to Le Cafe Qui Parle for lunch with a long time local of the area, mostly because it had good food and “unknown” to the tourists. I was not disappointed with the food indeed. Both Tartare beef and snails were my first time. They both looked and tasted great!
Nice place for a breakfast. Came here for a Sunday brunch, which included: pastries, baguette, jams and spreads, scrambled eggs, soup, green beans, sardines and some more. Pastries were top notch along with the soup. We also chose to take the cheese plate, which included 3 cheeses over arugula and olive oil. The toilets have seen better days and ran out of paper for a while. Coffee is just fine, nothing too exciting.
Very dice place with great atmosphere without a doubt. Great for breakfast. So far in this trip, the best coffee I have had in Europe. Careful... I haven't got to Italy yet, so the jury is still out on this subject. A tad pricey I have to say, but everything in Paris is pricey... my wife did not care at all for their salad, but the rest is good. I would say, go for the brunch buffet because going a la carte ended up being more expensive although not by much. The staff is actually really nice and courteous.
