Weekday mornings are the quietest
Our very first visit at Le Bouquet d'Alesia. We stopped for early dinner (2 adults and 1 child), our food arrived promptly, the service was friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Our steak and potatoes dish of the day was a delight! The meat was tender and very nicely seasoned. Our daughter loved the chicken pieces and salad she picked from kids' menu, her fries were delicious too! A fantastic place, already added to our food map in Paris, highly recommended!
Really great vibe really great atmosphere really nice service that was really quiet but honestly everyone was really helpful. There were so many people from around the world. It was right in front of the station right in front of the church. The view is really beautiful. The dessert is really nice. Had three styles of different ice cream crème brûlée . So many types of french food
Overall it was a good experience, however! SKIP TO LAST PART IF YOU DON’T WANT TO READ. We were a group of 7 Australians. being such a large group we booked a table ahead of time, but when we showed up they obviously never looked and didn’t have one ready, that’s fine! he sorted one out no worries. Sat down, ordered food and drinks. He seemed slightly annoyed at first but was smiling at the end, thought it went ok. We wanted to try snails ordered 2 dozen to share. They were delicious! But It took them forever to come out as well as our drinks, it wasn’t overly busy?. During that time what I assume was a French family of 3 came in sat down got their food and drinks before our entrees. Again that’s ok! We’re foreign. IMPORTANT PART: The thing that makes me a little sad is I come to split the bill between us next day and see we’ve been charged for 2x12 HUITRES at 34€ each so 68€ now after some googling those are oysters!! We DID NOT order oysters and I’m sure what we ate was escargot. I remember looking at the price thinking it was reasonable. 9€ for 6 and something for 12. I have attached a photo of the menu. I also couldn’t even see oysters on the entree menu. We weren’t loud or demanding and didn’t try to split the bill 7 ways in the middle of a service. We were running late so paid and left. It’s just sad and unfair that they would take advantage of our service like that. Moral of the story be vigilant with your receipt. :/
Came here for Sunday breakfast. Staff friendly and efficient and the restaurant itself is a lovely place to sit and relax. Lots of people on their own and I understand why and would happily do this. Food great by UK standards but I’ve had better meals in Paris. I had the cottage cheese and granola - nice but quite small and nothing special for euro 7.50, the avocado on toast my daughter had was large but relatively expensive at euro 16. The set meals if you want more to eat look much better value.
Nice and quiet place for working! I went there in the morning and had their breakfast, the pains au chocolat was the frozen kind that they chuck in the oven (taste was disappointing) , when they actually have a bakery as their neighbor so they could get them fresh and tasty every morning! Excellent service!!! I continued working till lunch time then had their dish of the day grilled meat (steak) and potatoes with blue sauce it was ok but I can’t say it was good! I wish they they work on improving their dishes.
