Although the overall aesthetics and service provided was amazing , I was a little disappointed for an éclair facility , the most traditional classic one wasn’t available. The pastries / desserts were far too sweet to enjoy and the only good thing was the butter croissant which even was a little bit too oily in my personal opinion . Will go back just for the espresso and the coffees / drinks , nothing else unfortunately .
Take to much to receive your order, coffee gets cold because they prepare it and don’t’ serve it straight away. The famous croissant are dry, the small pleasure you could get is from the sugar … paid 14€.. not happy at all. I don’t recommend especially if it’s your first time in Paris !
I stopped by L’Éclair de Génie Café specifically for their adorable bear éclair, and it did not disappoint. The design is almost too cute to eat — playful, detailed, and instantly eye-catching. Inside, the filling is smooth and well-balanced, not overly sweet, with a crisp choux shell that still feels light. It’s the perfect mix of pâtisserie craftsmanship and Parisian fun. A must-try if you love desserts that are both beautiful and delicious. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Horrible service from the chubby blonde, a shame to arrive and have no more croissants for us, but for other groups they have, they should be ashamed to do that. Coffee, brioche and sandwiche with ham and truffle cream are very good. A good one would be to have a more polite service, some attitude classes for the attendees.
Overrated. The eclair are ok but nothing better than an eclair from any bakery in France. Original yes, with lots of different flavours to pick from yes, but we’ve tried the small eclair 4 packs and it was dry with barely any cream inside. Disappointing. Service 0 as well, the lady was kind of rude, no staff was paying attention to us, it wasn’t busy and all of them were discussing until we arrived to order, they all stared at us while one was serving us. Just uncomfortable. I asked a couple of questions which were not answered nicely. Condescending even. I wouldn’t recommend. Just go to any boulangerie in Paris, small, not something you find on social media, and you’d be greatly served at half price the pastry. Prices are waaaay too high.
