La Vie devant Soi

It’s the first wine bar I’ve been in Paris that refused to serve most of the wines and did not serve us charcuterie. We were a company of 4 arriving at 10:00 and asked to drink different wines each and we wanted to order something to eat and stay long. After practically negotiating on what bottle could be opened and what not, we settled for something that was not our first choice. The guy which we presumed is the owner did not want to serve us charcuterie as 10:00 is late for him it seems. Too busy going outside to smoke and drink it seems. We just drank a glass and left. Too bad. The place seemed nice but the attitude is awful.

We rented the basement for a birthday party with about 20 guests. We’d do it again. Very accommodating. Great memories.
