La Rotonde Saint-Honoré

This was our first taste of Parisian bistro food and it did not disappoint. After a morning of walking amongst the rain we decided to stop off here for some food and respite from the weather. Staff were lovely and attentive and the food was very nice at a reasonable price. The gluten free truffle pasta was lovely and the rillettes de canard foie gras was brilliant, had quite a rich flavour to it so the serving portion given was just right. It’s in a great location just off the placa de Concorde and the inside was beautifully decorated.

Unfortunately the dishes we tried were below our expectations, the onion soup was salty, the steak was chewy, snails was dry, the only acceptable dish was the vegetarian lasagna

Found this gem of a place during a busy lunch hour. Walked right after visiting the Louvre. Even without a reservation, they were able to accommodate our party of five, which was a great start. I ordered the duck because, France and it was absolutely delicious, easily one of the highlights of the meal. Highly recommend this spot, and I would definitely come back again.

Our first stop in Paris for food. Had escargots, foie gras, french onion soup(did not see on menu), hot tea, hot chocolate, lamb, angus beef. We were starved from a 13 hour flight and long drive. It was excellent, staff understood and spoke understandable English. Wait to be seated, be polite, they were excellent. Spent 130€ on food and it was delicious. They provide take-out as needed. I recommend the angus beef, but cooked medium. Rare is a very chewy, through no fault of the chef. Thank you for being our first impression of Paris!

I wanted something fresh for dinner and their salads sounded delicious, they had no issue with me being single and wanting to sit outside. The waitress was So friendly and put up with my jet lagged French! I had an entree of pork terrine followed by a delicious tuna salad! Washed down with a mojito! Will definitely be back! 🙂
