Warm, relaxed brasserie serving typical French classics with outdoor seating alongside beer & wine....
The snacks and crΓͺpes were really good, and the hot chocolate was amazing. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was great. Overall, a lovely experience, I would definitely come back
It's Notre Dame. It's been rebuilt and refurbished. What more could you want? I last saw her when I was just shy of sixteen about * hand waves * decades ago. I knew she was old but I didn't realize the level of grime. I thought the rose window was spectacular then but that was the light burning through a much earlier Paris. It fit my preconceptions about middle age/Gothic France. But now I can see the pure blue coming in from all directions.
Delicious food, cozy environment, and friendly staff. I had the specialty of the day, Pot au feu. On a cold winter evening, it will sort you out; a very comforting delight. Fair price for a Parisian restaurant.
La Dame de Paris is located down the street from Notre Dame Cathedral. This Brasserie offers classic French food and has indoor and outdoor seating. We choose indoor since it was raining on the 20 Sep when we visited. The food was great and the service was good. Our server was a little short with us when ordering drinks. She told us that meals needed to be ordered before drinks as if this was a French restaurant rule. Other than that, she was very efficient. The free range chicken with salad was very good and the Le Croque-monsieur was okay. There are lots of Cafes on the street and we chose this one randomly. Overall a great experience.
we liked the tasty pastries. We sat inside and therefore paid a bit more (for the service I guess) but we had to bring the pastry and coffee to our table by ourselves. This was not an issue at all. But what surprised me was that i basically had to ask for a knife, forks and small spoons for the cappuccino. The service wanted me to use the utensils out of wood. But the wooden knife simply couldn't cut the cake we ordered along with the macarons. Funny that we were two people but were given only one fork :) and the woman also rolled her eyes when she gave the utensils to me. So I still didn't get why do we pay extra for being able to sit inside... just to beg for spoon and knives. What exactly was the service? I bring the food and coffee to the table myself, I take it back once I am done eating and I use the to-Go utensils... So I would recommend just take the stuff with you and enjoy it in the park close by. But the deserts are very tasty.
