La Comtesse

I booked three rooms at this hotel and specifically requested two single beds in one of the rooms through the travel website. From the very beginning, the service was disappointing. When I arrived earlier to store my luggage, they allowed it, but the woman at the reception was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Not a good first impression at all. When I returned to check in and asked about the twin-bed request, they told me that one room could not be arranged as two single beds because they “didn’t receive the information” from the travel website. I was understanding and said it was fine for the first night, but requested that it be changed to two single beds for the following night. They agreed. The next day around 2pm, nothing had been changed. When I asked again, they claimed housekeeping had knocked on the door — but it turned out they knocked on the wrong room. We had rooms 103 and 104 (all three rooms were ours), and reception told us 103 was the room that could be converted. However, housekeeping knocked on 104 instead. The guests in 104 didn’t open the door because they assumed it was a mistake. When I explained this confusion to the reception, the man at the desk was extremely rude and defensive. He said they had “misinformed the room number” to us — as if it was somehow our responsibility. I told him clearly: it is NOT my job to know which room is convertible. That is the hotel’s responsibility. Guests should not have to manage internal communication mistakes. Overall: • Poor communication • Rude and unprofessional staff • Lack of responsibility • Very disappointing service I would not recommend this hotel. Hospitality means taking ownership of mistakes and treating guests with respect — neither of which happened here

Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully curated, making the stay feel luxurious but still very welcoming. One of my favorite parts was breakfast—delicious, fresh, and served in a charming setting with large windows looking out onto the Parisian streets. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm, stylish, and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city. The staff was kind, attentive, and professional, always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even better. If you’re visiting Paris and want a hotel that combines location, comfort, elegance, and authentic Parisian charm, Hôtel La Comtesse is a perfect choice. I fell in love with this hotel because of the balcony view — it was absolutely 'wow'! 😍 The service was excellent: everyone was very polite, and the room was cleaned every single day. Everything was perfectly clean. The only minor thing was that the room itself was a bit smaller than we expected from the photos. However, given the amazing atmosphere and the quality of service, it wasn't a big deal at all. If you are looking for a true Parisian vibe and cleanliness, this is the place to be!

As it was our wedding anniversary, the champagne waiting in our room was a thoughtful and special touch that made our stay feel truly celebratory. The room was just right, comfortable and cozy, with a very comfortable bed that was perfect after long days exploring Paris. Everything felt calm and well cared for. Spending a few snowy January days in Paris made the experience even more magical, and Hôtel La Comtesse provided the perfect setting for it. Our time there was lovely, relaxing, and memorable. We would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel De France! The staff were absolutely amazing — so polite, helpful, and welcoming, both at the reception and in the breakfast area. Their kindness really made a difference and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was good with a nice variety, although it would be even better if the options changed daily, especially for guests staying multiple days. Our room was very clean and well-maintained, though it was a bit on the smaller side. However, the hotel’s location is excellent — everything you need is just around the corner, making it very convenient.
