La Charrette

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. I ordered a tartare with salad and suddenly discovered a live snail in the salad while eating – it was actually moving. I even took a photo because I could hardly believe it myself. Finding something like that in a dish is absolutely unacceptable and extremely unhygienic. What made the situation even worse was how the restaurant handled it. Instead of showing real goodwill or refunding the main dish, they only refunded €6 for the fries. There was no refund for the main course. After such an incident, I would have expected a sincere apology and a fair solution. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Very disappointing.

Really pretty space, excellent burger, and friendly service. The pumpkin soup was a little bland. Chocolate mousse was tasty. Overall a really great experience. There was a lively bar scene happening too. Definitely stop in if you’re in the neighborhood.

Charming neighborhood gem in Saint-Germain des Prés What a delightful catch ! La Charette perfectly captures the authentic Parisian bistro atmosphere with its terracotta tile floors and charming paintings on the walls. Located rue des Beaux Arts, steps away from the famous Ecole des Beaux Arts, this local favorite embodies the spirit of the neighborhood. The food was delicious, i had demi fuet and cheeseburger both excellent and clearly made with fresh ingredients. Quite crunchy bun and delicious fresh patty. The service was outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive.

This charming spot captures old-world Parisian charm while delivering exceptional food and a lively, playful atmosphere. From the top-notch cuisine to some of the best cocktails we've had, every detail was outstanding. The owner is truly exceptional—warm, welcoming, and effortlessly made us feel at home despite our broken French. The place was buzzing with a stylish mix of locals, young and old alike. The proprietor creates a perfect balance of professionalism and relaxed, jovial energy. We truly felt like we discovered a hidden gem in Paris—and we cannot wait to return! Thank you so much for a memory we will cherish! PS don't change a thing!

This is the Paris you need to experience, great food, conviviality, richness of culture and history, with fine hospitality. Located in a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood with little traffic to spoil the atmosphere. It is located in a small yet vibrant restaurant that oozes charm. But come here for the food it’s worth it! Everything we had was delicious but the burger and hand cut fries was one of the best we’ve ever eaten. Good wine too, they had a yummy cote de Rhône-that was better than a 100+ similar bottles we had just had for a fraction of the price.
