Kiji

I didn’t think they added enough matcha to the matcha latte. Also really small amount of ice. The hojicha latte was better. The matcha was good (from the small amount) - had a grassy taste if you are into that.

Came in for a pre-dinner snack. Ordered the matcha white chocolate cookie, chai and hojicha latte. Cookie and hojicha were very very good! Chai was a bit lacking in flavour but still satisfactory. Staff were friendly and very easy to communicate with. Highly reccomend this place if you're in the area.

I was excited to try Kiji’s matcha for it seemed to be renowned. Sadly, I was disappointed with the flavors. We got a Raspberry matcha and an iced matcha with vanilla sweetener. We just couldn’t taste the matcha in either… For the price of the drinks, I was expecting a bold and strong matcha but it’s the total opposite. There are better places in Paris with a better and stronger matcha taste. I would only recommend for the upstairs seating area which is super nice and the delicious brownie.

I’ve been going to Kiji cafe since their opening in 2024. This has become one of my favorite place in Paris as the tatami room upstairs is so peaceful and unique. Their matcha were one of the first authentic ones in Paris and, till this day, are still one of the best: not too sweet nor too bitter. I hope that they will keep their authenticity as it is one of the only places in paris with a traditional japanese tea room. (ps: I need to know where they got their ceramics from because it’s truly gorgeous)

Intense matcha, genmaicha and hojicha. One of the best matchaya in Paris, authentic and reliable. Will definitely back 🍵 Humble and friendly reception and services. Sitting on the 2nd floor to experience authentic Japanese ambience with tatami 😊
