Airy, contemporary coworking cafe offering private meeting rooms, along with coffee & snacks....
Great coffee and very friendly staff! I visited for two days and really enjoyed it. FYI, there’s only one small phone booth, which you need to sign up for upon arrival. From the impression I got, the entire space is designated as a quiet zone, so it wasn’t ideal for taking meetings in the common area. However, this “quiet zone” rule could be communicated more clearly, as a few people were chatting near the café area, and I even had to ask them to lower their voices!
As somebody who frequents Hubsy in the La Défense branch, I arrived in this branch with the assumption that I would have the same remote work experience. I purposely chose this branch because it was close to another appointment that I had for the day. I was thinking, "Great! There's a Hubsy branch nearby!" Drinks. Good as expected from Hubsy. Remote work experience. Not what I expected. This branch is more like a library than a co-working space. Calls were not allowed in the open space and were limited to one phone booth which you would have to reserve in advance, but it was already booked for the afternoon! I was trying to keep my volume low and respectful, but I was still asked to not take my calls inside. I had to take my work calls outside on the street for close to 2hrs while paying for each hour in Hubsy! I would have moved to another café if I had known before starting to take my calls. Again, I still like Hubsy especially the La Défense branch. But for this branch, it would be better to label it as a Quiet Space, instead of a co-working space. It's not a co-working space at all... how can people co-work here ?
Really nice place for work! Quiet, offers hot drink and snacks, and you pay by the time you spend there.
Hosted a small coffee event to meet university students in this quiet Hubsy cafe. Service by the friendly barista was excellent and everyone enjoyed the lovely location. Highly recommend.
I came to work here for 3 days when it got a bit too warm to concentrate on work at home. On the plus side, it did the trick - I was super productive here. The space is super quiet, the air conditioning is strong, coffee and snacks are decent, and there's ample desk space & access to electrical outlets. However, there are also some big drawbacks that made me wish I went to a proper coworking space instead. First, they are really strict about noise (which I appreciate), but there aren't enough meeting rooms. You're only allowed to sign up for the phone booth for 1h30 per day (and you have to do it before others get to it), and the other room is like €12/hour. This doesn't work if you have calls throughout the day. I wish they just made the basement calls-allowed room since you can pretty much hear every conversation going on in the meeting rooms anyway. Second, the staff in general are not that friendly, but one in particular was downright rude. When I had to take an urgent call in the basement (not knowing at that point that it was also a quiet zone), she came down right away (after I've said maybe 3-4 sentences in total) and told me off in an unnecessarily unkind tone. When I tried booking a paid room with her, she just seemed uninterested and didn't even look at me. You get the sense that she's angry and just doesn't want to help. Again, I think you get much more professional service at a WeWork where they treat customers like executives and not school children.
