If you are thinking of reserving this place for an event, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. I will describe my experience so that hopefully you don't have to go through the same ordeal. I booked several weeks in advance, and was happy to have the reservation as I was booking at short notice. So far, so good. I was told to touch base 4-5 days before the event in order to finalise some details. So, 5 days before the event, I called the owner, who answered and seemed to pretend to have connection problems, stating that he would call back. I received no call back, and the radio silence continued for two days. As the event was a very important one, I was starting to feel quite stressed out, so I went to the péniche in person. The barmaid informed me that the owner was absent, so she called him and he told her he'd call me back, which he did, the following day (2 days before the event). He made up a story about having a technical problem, which he was very reluctant to explain, telling me that the only option was to do a different date. It seemed very fishy as the boat was clearly fine and very much open the day before. I pushed him to explain the problem and to find a solution, because it was unreasonably short notice, and he started to be more cooperative (hearing that I would bring 80 people seemed to wake him up). Miraculously, he contacted me the following day to say the problem (which I strongly suspect to have been a double booking) had been solved, and that the event could go ahead. His demeanour throughout the evening was that of someone who had been inconvenienced - also offering no apology for the considerable stress he had caused me leading up to the event. Finally, perhaps unsurprisingly, when I paid him he counted the money (500e) and claimed "it is 600e." To which I replied "no, on the phone you said 500e." He replied "ok," which screams of someone who was trying their luck to squeeze extra money out of a client (if you read the other reviews you might notice a theme of overpriced refreshments). So, disorganised, unprofessional and dishonest. You can and should do better than this place.
