The service was so rude that I don't even want to write much about. Basically the guy who served us was quite mean just because I don't speak much french, I do understand it, but he was pretty rude about it even tho he clearly could speak English pretty well. After the first interactions I just kind of ignored it, and was just waiting for my mom to arrive. But when we started ordering, my mom only spoke french and he still was rude to my mom, so I got frustrated. She just made a simple question about if their orange juice is natural, and he rolled his eyes and delayed his answer. The place is beautiful, the ambient was nice, and so is the food, but the people weren't welcoming at all(there was just one girl at the back that looked kind but she didnt serve us), I really hate the way my mom was treated. Do not recommend.
Staff are friendly enough. Rib eye steak 38€ was done perfectly medium rare. Tasted good. However not as tender as I like and somewhat sinewy, chewy and fatty in certain part. Overall satisfying local French.
Pros: pretty at night Cons: very expensive and service fees to sit. The cocoa wasn’t very tasty. $15USD (13€) for a cup of cocoa and small bottle of Perrier water. We surmise possibly $5-7 in service fees for sitting down? We sat down for about 15 minutes around 9am and there weren’t other patrons -but when walked by each night, it seemed to be a popular spot. It has beautiful ambience at night with warmly-lit lamps. We didn’t return due to the price. The cocoa wasn’t very deep in flavor or color. It was very pale and tasted like powdered mix -I was envisioning better for the price point.
Loved this little Parisian café! The duck was absolutely amazing ,so tender it just melted in your mouth. The potatoes were crispy and full of flavour, and the whole plate was just perfect. Prices were reasonable too, which is rare for central Paris. Really enjoyed the food and the vibe, I’d definitely go back next time ❤️🍷🇫🇷
This place is overall just okay. It's nothing special but it's not all bad. The service was a bit slow (it took 20 minutes between the time I ordered and the time my appetizer arrived, and then my main dish took another 10 minutes or so), but my server was very nice. The food is pretty mid. Not bad but nothing to write home about. And I was almost overcharged. Their formule de midi is supposed to be 17.50 for an appetizer and main (or main and dessert). If I hadn't said something, they would have overcharged me by 4.50. I'm sure it was an honest mistake as I don't believe they were intentionally trying to rip me off. One positive about this place is the people-watching if you sit outside. This restaurant is located on a busy street so there's tons of people coming and going.
