Weekday mornings are the quietest
I passed by this afternoon to get their famous banana bread. I’ve been there once before, and it was absolutely delicious. Each time, they clearly say that everything is fresh and made the same day. This time, however, the experience was very different. At first, the lady told me they had already sold the last piece. Then another woman came out from the kitchen with some banana bread and handed it to me. It was clearly cold apparently from the day before, yet it was sold to me as if it had been freshly made that day. Given how fresh and delicious it was during my previous visit, it was truly disappointing to be told it was fresh when it clearly wasn’t.
What can I say, delicious pastries at a reasonable price for the quality. Lovely service and the best croissant a gluten free girl could hope for.
Copains Rive Gauche is honestly a dream – every Copains I’ve tried so far has been brilliant, each one really surprising me in the best ways. The pastries are next-level (flaky, buttery, perfect), but what absolutely stole the show was the matcha with black sesame paste – hands down the best I’ve ever had, rich, nutty and so comforting. Such a gem, and proof again that Copains never misses.
Absolutely Stunning Display, Great Breads, Croissant Texture Needs a Little More Work. I recently visited Copains for breakfast while on the hunt for the best gluten-free pastries in Paris, and I was immediately struck by the presentation. The way they display their pastries is absolutely stunning – you truly feel like you've stepped into a haute couture bakery! Each pastry is a work of art, and it's clear a lot of effort goes into their creation. While the pastries looked absolutely beautiful, I personally found that they lacked that authentic croissant texture I've been craving since going gluten-free. It was still good, and I appreciate their dedication to crafting such beautiful gluten-free options, but it wasn't my favorite croissant of the trip. However, their breads are a different story – they are incredibly delicious! I highly recommend a stop at one of their several locations throughout Paris if you're in search of fantastic gluten-free breads and beautiful gluten-free treats. Despite the croissant not being a perfect match for my craving, the overall experience and the quality of their other products make it a worthwhile visit for anyone with dietary restrictions.
Very nice spot in Paris that offers a wide selection of backed goods. I tried the pistachio brioche as well as the red velvet cookie, and both were delicious! Their matcha is also very good. It’s definitely a nice place to go to if you want a Little something on the go.
