Weekday mornings are the quietest
The managers are exceptionally rude (never a hello, thank you, or goodbye, which are, after all, basic courtesies for a civilized person), especially the female manager who, when handing over packages, pointedly averts her head and gaze without saying a word. Judging by the reviews, this place seems to have numerous problems, and that's hardly surprising.
I know the establishment isn't responsible for its customers' behavior, but the owners should still ask the people who loiter in and around their bar all day to behave themselves at least a little. I've rarely gone there to pick up packages, but every time I've felt incredibly uncomfortable because all the customers looked at me in a very unpleasant way. I regularly walk past the bar, and it's always filthy, a bit like the inside, but worse. And the customers, who are in cahoots with the grocery store next door, are "angels." Between the stares, the comments, and those who actually block your path or grab your arm because you don't stop, it's really a place to avoid as much as possible, especially at night. What are the police doing?
Response to the previous "reaction" from the "owner": no, you're not just enduring it, you're encouraging it, or at the very least, turning a blind eye. No, things don't happen when you're closed. Especially not the filth. They happen precisely when you're open. The coffee cups left a meter from your door didn't come from a convenience store. When you "clean," you leave them. And don't even mention the local shops that sell alcohol: the only one is in your building. If you're affected, talk to them directly; you live at the same address. You're complacent and profiting from this garbage; understand that it's starting to ruin people's lives. Now, the city hall cleans in front of your place every morning (because no, you don't clean when you open; the city hall does it beforehand), and indeed, when there's a daily call to the police—which is likely to happen since even the 14th arrondissement's town hall recommends this, specifically not when you're closed, the "problem of this location being known," according to them—we'll see what happens. Like any other business, have the decency not to disregard your neighbors. Just do the basics. You have a beautiful place; it's incomprehensible that, as managers, you don't have a little more self-respect for your establishment.
It was already the worst place—and somehow, it got even worse. Filthy in almost every sense imaginable
This place is a collection of people you wouldn't want to meet. Desperate people, smoking, drinking all day, betting and getting angry and aggressive as they lose with people passing by (especially women). The neighborhood is very calm, except for this spot which should close (or stop the bets) for the sake of everyone, people living there and people losing their savings on horses
