Chez Marcel

A nice surprise, great burger great staff!

We sat outside at Chez Marcel around 4 pm for drinks and a snack. It was loud since it’s right on the street, but not too much — just a typical Parisian vibe. We had fries, espresso martinis, red wine, and rosé. The pours were a bit small, but enough for our conversation and to enjoy the moment. The staff were friendly and left us alone for the most part, only checking in when needed. We lingered for over an hour, just enjoying the atmosphere. Overall, it’s a chill spot with a menu that’s exactly what you expect — a solid, casual Parisian stop.

Excellent food with great lunch special prices (€17.5). The beef tartare and pork rilletes were perfect. Surprisingly good portions too. There was only one table open when we arrived, and ours was the only one open when we left. It's a deservingly popular place.

What a wonderful brasserie! We enjoyed delicious food and yummy wine and beer in this fabulous place exuding Parisian charm. Talking to the handily bilingual waiter it has been recently renovated and is just lovely. I highly recommend!
