Relaxed restaurant with outdoor seating & canal views serving pizza, bowls & light bites....
Chez Agnès is a hidden gem nestled along the canal St Martin in Paris. This cozy bar exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. The friendly staff always welcomes you with a smile, and the extensive selection of drinks won't disappoint. Chez Agnès has something to suit every taste. The prices are surprisingly affordable, making it an ideal spot for budget-conscious travelers or locals looking for a casual night out. The outdoor seating area offers picturesque views of the canal, creating a truly enchanting experience. And if you're hungry, just go up the floor to end up in a kebab / pizza restaurant. Chez Agnès is a must-visit for anyone seeking a laid-back and authentic Parisian bar experience.
Really cool place by the canal, great if you're looking for a laid-back, hassle-free lunch/drinks. The burgers are great value for money and the staff is sweet. We went in the middle of the day, and had a pleasant lunch sitting by the water 🛥️ We could tell that the place truly wakes up in the afternoon / evening, but there was already a nice vibe at noon 👌
Great student like restaurant. They did not served the burgers on our visit, but the pizza's taste great. Definitely recommendable.
Go somewhere else... but it’s a huge shame!! The staff is lovely and they all speak perfect English (which is very rare in France!!) and the location is unbeatable, right on the canal. That’s the only reason I’m awarding one star for each. The problem comes with the food. I had a table of charcuterie as a starter: the table came with a piece of butter next to the cold cuts... and no bread to spread it on! So I asked for some bread and I got a few stale pieces that were obviously reheated to make it softer. Talk about great French bread, right...? The very worst was the burger. Firstly, I asked for the meat on the rare side... came burned. What made it worse is that, for some reason they serve it with champignons sauce (which not specified as an ingredient on the menu!) and I am mildly allergic to mushrooms. Gave two bites and realized, so I left everything on the plate but a few fries that didn’t look contaminated. The waiter very kindly apologized and offered to bring me another plate but at that point I just wanted to leave. I felt a bit duped when the bill came and it was proudly announced that I’d pay only 50% for my burger only... what a joke!
Stopped there for a coffee break during a walk along the canal. The staff was really laid back and nice and the terrasse is nicely setup along the canal.
