Just passed by and saw many ppl queuing so we also bought a chocolate bread! The chocolate inside of bread was so delicious! You can taste the quality! But the bread itself was okay. Didn’t wait a long time, just around 5mins.
Cédric is taking over Paris! Good for him. This coffee shop is wonderful. I have now tried all the donuts and a few of the drink offerings. Here’s what I’ll say: 1) Personally, I didn’t love the pain au chocolat. I like pieces of solid chocolate, but would it be Cédric if he weren’t re-imagining something? For me, the chocolate creme vs pieces of chocolate was a miss. It was good, it just wasn’t something I’d make a point of ordering again. 2) the Fruit fillings, on the other hand, are where I knew Cédric would shine, and he doesn’t disappoint. The intense fruit flavor he coaxes out of each fruit in all his fruit preparations is simply second to none. He’s a master. The pear and mango fillings were both absolutely spectacular. I lean toward the mango as my favorite of all his donuts. 3) the vanilla crème filling was absolutely on point. Delicious. Would order again. 4) I ordered a pumpkin latte expecting it to be a pumpkin spice latte…but, no. It’s legitimately pumpkin and, although not what I was expecting or something I’d think would be good, was quite nice. 5) the coffee drinks are generally very good. 6) the staff is pleasant and well dressed. Very classy. I don’t understand the current 3.7 star rating. So many of Cedric’s places have low ratings on Google Maps, but I believe that’s a flaw of Google Reviews, not a flaw of Cédric. Clearly, enough people agree with me because there are constantly lines outside all his establishments. You can come here with no regrets. Everything is quality- even the chocolate donut was quality, it just wasn’t my preference on preparation. It was very well executed for what it was.
Ordered the cookie pizza for a get together and it was delicious and enjoyed by all. Goes well with ice cream or cream and would recommend heating up a little. Was expensive but worth it as a treat I would say. Similar to the patisserie near Tuileries Garden, not the most friendly of welcomes or service when compared to other places in Paris we visited during our stay.
We had the marble cake and it was satisfaction pure.. the combination of creamy dark and white chocolate was great. The flavour was deep, the base of the cake was a perfect mix of soft and firm 👌 The price of course was high compared to a normal cake (38€) but it was worth it. The service was also great. The employees were realy nice and had a smile for everyone! Keep up the great work! Aa.. I almost forgot the presentation.. Just having a peek through the windows, where you can see them work their magic was fantastic.
Minimal wait, but tends to get busy. I have visited after 1 pm and most of the tea options wasn’t available. Did get coffee croissant for mum and pain au chocolat for myself. Both were out of this world. Truly incredible and tasty. Ease of payment options and staff was kind.
