Rustic looking compact bar with several tables inside and outside. I loved the music and the movie posters. During cold weather their grog and hot wine were excellent. The bartender was welcoming, and the experience at this corner establishment was great.
Amazing little place off the beaten track in the 19ème, right by the Quartier Mouzaïa. It's family-run, and it's not a place to go if you're in a hurry. There are lots of regulars, and the atmosphere is convivial and bustling. My guacamole entrée was absolutely perfect (and I'm from California). My plat of the souris d'agneau was heavenly - maybe a bit much for the heat of the day, but oh, dear lord, it was grandma's recipe and a dish for the angels! I finished with a déca noisette, and leisurely got up to pay. The mother/daughter team were kind enough to praise my French language abilities, and I just felt like I'd discovered pirate's treasure. I'm not sure if they take reservations, so either be there at noon or after 13h30 to avoid the rush. Let me assure you, this is the real deal, a very authentic dining experience most people don't get to experience. I will most definitely return the next time I'm in Paris!
Service really long. The young waitress had a strong character. I had to go to the counter to order our drinks as we asked for the drinks menu which never came to us. After our meal we were not proposed any desert options.
The nicest waiter! He didn't speak English, but he made the effort and explained to us with pictures :) I had veal with sauce and rice! It was very nice, specially if you like tender soft meat. The prices were average for Paris.
99 years in business at time of this post. Some original movie posters inside. Coffee, wine, beer, foods and dessert in a unique angled street corner. Nice little setup to relax in.
