Refined, calm, and beautifully executed. Lai Tcha offers a modern Chinese dining experience in a serene, minimalist setting. The open counter and elegant interior immediately set the tone. Dishes are carefully prepared and well balanced: excellent seafood stew with tender fish, mussels, and shrimp in a fragrant broth, perfectly cooked rice, and light, crisp spring rolls served with fresh lettuce and a rich dipping sauce. Flavours are subtle and precise rather than heavy. A great place for a relaxed lunch if you enjoy refined cuisine and thoughtful presentation.
Five pieces of dry, stale dim sum for 16 euros, made by people who don't even know what dim sum is, and a 6 euro disposable hand-drip bag of oolong tea. Michelin ratings are incomprehensible.
Brilliant fusion. A lot more nuanced than what we'd find in New York. Flavors a bit more considered, some combos I've never tasted. Home spun wabi sabi presentation. Friendly staff. Not sure if other low-star reviews came on off days? Pricey, but worth the effort. Dan Dan Noodles. Pearl dessert. Yum.
With no doubt really delicious dumplings and baos. Tasty and prepared with care. The staff is also really nice, but even for Paris standards, the price seems to be a bit over the top. If you are okay with that and still want dumplings, you won’t go wrong with this place!
It’s the second restaurant of the Michelin star chef at YamTcha. The 🥟 dim sum are nice, the dessert as well. It’s very good for the price. Waitress was very nice and helpful. If you follow me, do not expect a Michelin star level, it’s not. But for the price it’s really great. Follow me for all the Michelin Stars in Paris ( and more)
