Coffee, pastries & traditional Parisian dishes at a classic cafe & brasserie with a covered terrace....
Me and my best friend were wandering Paris in cozy streets filled with many charming shops, and stopped when we saw such a charming red restaurant that delivered exactly what you hope for in France - they have everything! We began with the French onion soup, and it was exceptional. Served hot in a huge bowl, we got satisfied quickly! It was rich and flavoured. They brough us thick, perfectly toasted bread and a bowl with golden-brown cheese. Every spoon was comforting, hearty, and unmistakably authentic — the kind of dish that makes you slow down and savor every bite. Next came the Croque-Madame, the iconic French sandwich elevated to perfection. The bread was crisp on the outside yet tender inside, layered with delicous ham. Highlighted with the sunny side-up egg crowning the sandwich. It was a perfect balance of the French experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with classic Parisian charm — very friendly and welcoming service, people were relaxed, and that unmistakable feeling of being exactly where you’re meant to be. If you’re in Paris and craving traditional French comfort food done right, this spot is a must-visit. You will get an experience that lingers long after the last bite :)
All the staff are kind and the food is delicious. Brunch menu, lunch menu dessert, coffee, and orange juice are all delicious. This restaurant was the first of its kind staff to smile on the flute, welcome customers, and do small talks. She guided us to the warmest seat and allowed us to put our luggage on an empty table. They received food orders quickly, food came out right away, and they didn't leave us unattended, always kept an eye on us and checked if there was anything else they needed. She was always quick and kind, not only during her free time, but also in very crowded situations because the store was full. If I were the owner of this store, I would like to give her a special bonus.
This cafe is so far the best thing I’ve had in Paris. Ive been in Paris for more than 1 week, but the restaurants has been disappointing, people are unfriendly, foods are expensive, services are not as good. HOWEVER, this cafe has been amazing, food are magnificent, service are PERFECT, and the price is SOOOO AFFORDABLE. When I was still struggling and scared to walk-in, the waiter already come out and welcomed me, handing me an English menu while not forcing me to come in. When I walk in, I heard the bartender shouting ‘HELLO! BONJOUR!’ They are the sweetest people I’ve seen. We ordered more than enough so we have to take away our food. We ordered an egg Benedict set, crème brûlée, French toast, hot onion soup, and two hot chocolate, in total $50. The egg Benedict is MAGNIFICENT and it’s only $9 comparing to other cafe this is perfect for us especially when we’re having a low budget. Here are some pictures of the restaurant and I will definitely come back! You don’t need to order that much, their food is relatively big!
We woke up very early one day and there was only one cafe open at 6am. The restaurant was nice and relaxing for the early morning. Vlad, our server and chef, was very nice and welcoming, creating a nice atmosphere. We both ordered the English breakfast which consisted of egg, cheese, and ham scramble, yogurt, fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, and a croissant. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. The croissant was freshly baked and very delicious. I’m very happy we found this cafe, I would highly recommend it any time of day, and I will go back next time I’m in Paris. Edited: we actually went back a 2nd time for breakfast our last morning in Paris. We ordered the same meal and it was just as delicious as last time, solidifying the rating I previous gave. I cannot wait to visit Paris again in the future and visit Vlad and Cafe Daylarac.
A real hidden gem in a quiet spot, just steps away from the Opéra, the Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann, and Place Vendôme! Café Dalayrac is the perfect place to relax, no matter the season. The vibe is chill, the staff super friendly, and the food is always excellent. I fall for their indulgent apple tart every single time - it's an absolute treat! Whether you're stopping by for a coffee, lunch, or just a peaceful break, you'll feel right at home. Huge thanks to Anne-So and her amazing team for their warm welcome and constant good vibes. Definitely a place to keep on your favorites list!
