Bœuf à la mode

I absolutely loved this place. I was just walking around in the morning and happened to come across it by chance, and I’m so glad I did. The man who served me — I’m not sure if he’s the owner — was incredibly kind and welcoming. He asked where I’m from and even gave me the shop’s stamp with his number on it in case I needed any help. The food was great as well. The croissant was lovely, and I ordered the steak frites. The steak was good — not a high-end fine dining cut, but definitely solid and satisfying. For the price, it’s more than worth it. A genuinely good meal without being overpriced. Overall, a warm atmosphere, kind service, and good food. I would definitely come back. 💗💗

I can't call the stew that I ate boeuf Bourguignon, the meat cubes were tough with poor sauce.

I found myself at Bœuf à la Mode while visiting the magnificent city of Paris via London and was immediately brought back to the grand era of the early 60s when I spent much time walking the stately and (as the Germans would say) lebendig alleys of Pigalle. These days, restaurants and cafe's (as I'm sure you would agree) appear cut from the same cloth — homogenized to suit the algorithmic consumer. Au contraire! Bœuf à la Mode remains situated in the ideals of a time gone by yet ever breathing anew within its walls. I appreciate the beautiful orchids on the bar, and the many others resting, waiting to bloom again next summer. I look forward to my next visit, as ever.
