Une expérience nordique très authentique au cœur de Belleville et décidément une des plus belles librairies parisiennes nouvelles! Amoureuse de cet endroit, j'ai déjà hâte d'y revenir! I visited the bookshop on a sunny Saturday afternoon, when it was quite busy, but the staff was very accommodating and took care of making everyone feel welcome. On top of that, they even made time for book recommendations, so kudos to them! The book selection is great (and possibly the largest on Nordic literature in all of Paris, containing French and English translations from classic and contemporary authors) and browsing is a real treat! Make sure to ask the staff to stamp the books you buy as it's such a lovely souvenir to have! I was also pleasantly surprised by the filter coffee which proved to be flavourful and just right. The hallongrotta was insanely good (directly on par with the pastries I tried on my trips to Malmö and Helsingborg) and left me wanting to try more of their sweet treats. I would recommend pairing visiting Bokbar with a walk to the Parc de Belleville which is only 10 minutes away. The views on top of the hill are gorgeous!

The atmosphere is lovely and the cups are really nice too, but unfortunately I can’t say the same about the coffee. Even though the beans seem high quality, the drink itself was well below my expectations in terms of taste and balance. I hope it improves, because the place has a lot of potential.

Nice and quiet cafe and book shop. I loved the mazarin. The coffee is OK, not very good, but better than the Parisian standard.

We came here the first time because it was right by our stay and then came the second time because of how amazing it was! The coffee was absolutely delicious and the service was great. It’s such a cute bookshop/coffee shop and they had some great pastries too. We would definitely recommend anyone to come and try!

The best cafe in Paris! Friendly staff, amazing coffee, and a cozy welcoming atmosphere! Swing by and grab a cup of coffee and a delicious treat, browse the books and just relax. Strongly recommend!
