Bistrot des Familles

We are two American retirees staying in the neighborhood temporarily, and have become attached to this bar for our morning coffee. We buy something to eat at a local patisserie and bring it here to have with the cafe-creme. The coffee is always very hot, and good. We think they now recognize us as semi-regulars, and fire up the machine when we walk in. We can't understand all the football talk, but there is a morning procession of small children that goes by every day, all hooked together in a "chain gang" with a teacher at each end. Quite charming, really. Highly recommended.

4.50 for a coffee?!? Is it because I’m a tourist?
