A la Tour Eiffel

Found this place by accident but it was completely full on a Monday night in February. The onion soup was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Great flavour and the cheese stayed molten until the last bite rather than congealing into a solid mass like the poor versions. Duck confit was also very good. My dessert of crepes with Grand Marnier was awful though, a real shame to end the meal with that. My colleague’s profiterole was excellent. Avoid the crepes at all cost they are not cooked fresh. Service is slow but not the end of the world. Well worth a visit for the soup alone

I went twice this trip to Paris, once solo for a late lunch (the day I arrived in Paris from the U.S. and had been walking around for hours waiting to be able to go to my nearby hotel) and a couple of days later, with 4 French friends, for a dinner that was very early - but part of the charm of the restaurant is that it does have the full menu service all day. Both times, the service was impeccable, personable, and with good wine recommendations. The waiters were attentive and pleasant; and the food was delicious, attractively plated, and there was a lot of it! The “formule” lunch menu, at a set price for a starter (entrée), a main course (plat), and, if desired, a dessert, was a great value and there is a good variety, for the daily specials. It is in a charming area and a very good address to frequent

Amazing food, service and atmosphere. The veal was one of the best meals I’ve had.

Classic menu, dimmed atmosphere and nice waitress. I particularly like the cool attitude of the waitress with the tatoos. And the langue de chat with the champagne was a nice touch. Full of people so quite noisy to have a conversation. The croc madame was very good. The fish, I was expecting something else, but that’s probably on me. The oysters were OK but not the best. The bill was a bit expensive overall. It’s open late so it’s convinient.

Ordered the lunch menu, had white fish and dessert was sortment of three small desserts. Everything was so delish! Do yourself a favour and eat here 😋😋😋 Only downside they did not have the appetizers anymore left, but they charged the same prize as I would have had the appetizer
