Tamales Doña Emi

Of all the Tamles I have had, these are by far the driest of them all. They crumble, they lack flavor, the balance of the filling to the dough is off, the dough is tasteless, I don’t know how they justify their prices. Not one of the five I tried was any good. The flavor is lacking, the seasoning is not at par with others and I frankly don’t know anyone (I live here) who enjoys this place. I have asked my neighbors and they all avoid it. Can’t believe the prices. The service is poor, the people who work there are rude. Spare yourself, this is not the measure of a tamale place. The positive reviews are from people who are tourists, and don’t have a clue what a real tamale should taste like.

Staff were very friendly, it’s mostly a takeout spot but they do offer paper plates and makeshift table/stools/folding chairs! Tamales were a good size and very flavourful! Be mindful they do sell out so if you would like more variety try to go earlier if possible. They take cash and credit card!

Delicious tamales 🫔 with a wide variety. Getting there earlier is better to get the most wide selection. We got here at 11:30am on a Sunday and there were about 9 tamale flavors and 4 dulces. We tried the verde con carne de puerco, pollo à la jardinera, and guayaba. All were yummy and we enjoyed them. Also, the maíz azul atole was interesting! We really enjoyed it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – highly recommended! The tamales were absolutely delicious! It was my first time ever trying tamales, and it was a 10/10 experience right away. I would recommend this place to anyone, anytime. They have a huge variety: vegetarian options, tamales with grasshoppers, sweet ones and savory ones – truly something for everyone. Everything was so, so, so good. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. You immediately feel comfortable and taken care of. Can’t recommend this place enough – 10 out of 10! 🌟

Banging tamales, I was looking for something different and they have it. Larger than usual tamales with a very interesting mix of flavors, the kind of flames you won't be disappointed with. Go out of your way and pay a visit, do go early, the best flavors sell out quickly. Ps: my pictures don't do it justice.
