Weekday mornings are the quietest
Excellent cafe to spend time with your work, friends or just a book. Service is amazing. Coffee is great. Quiet enough to focus on your own interests but still lively enough to feel like you are not alone. Love the seating options. Tables inside and out. As well as a bar with stools facing into the sidewalk. Highly recommend.
Coffee was okay and at a good price; bread was pretty bland but also good price. Service leaves a lot to be desired: Staff didn’t seem interested at all in the clientele, and even seemed to avoid eye contact in the entrance, almost like hoping they would go away on their own. After serving you the coffee they don’t seem to notice you at all
Both the hot latte and iced latte are quite tasty, with the coffee beans having a slightly acidic flavor. If you have a CDMX coffee passport, you can get a 10% discount at this cafe. The seats are not very comfortable—they’re quite hard. However, the Wi-Fi speed is good.
Slow and impersonal service, and a matcha latte that didn’t really taste like matcha. The sunken café looked very inviting, with both indoor and outdoor seating. However, the service was quite slow—there was only one customer ahead of me, but the wait seemed unnecessarily long. When it was my turn, the ordering process also felt at a snail’s pace. I ordered a hot matcha latte with lactose-free milk, paid, and took a seat. When my drink arrived, I was immediately thrown off by the color—it was so pale that I couldn’t even distinguish a hint of green. I almost thought they had mistakenly given me a chai. After taking a few sips, I still couldn’t confidently say what I was drinking. It vaguely leaned towards a matcha flavor, but not enough to be sure. To sum it up, the drink was quite sweet and tasted like a highly commercialized vanilla matcha that almost resembled a chai. It wasn’t necessarily unpleasant, but the lack of the characteristic green color and the ambiguous flavor made it disappointing. Where was the matcha green? It left me questioning the quality and even the authenticity of my mysterious matcha latte.
Excellent caffè e concha The espresso is solid - a little hit of bite, quite strong, but deeply flavorful. And the pastries are very very good. Add in a friendly staff, pleasant indoors and outdoors, and the location that is a wee bit off the beaten path, and you get a happy-making caffe!
