Weekday mornings are the quietest
The flat white was okay, but the service could definitely be better. No one asked whether I wanted my coffee to stay or to go. I sat down at a table, which made it pretty obvious I was staying, but the coffee was still served in a paper cup. I try to avoid disposable cups when I can, so I had to ask for a real glass and pour the coffee myself. They also didn’t offer water, I had to ask for it. The café is quite small and they’re constantly making smoothies, so it gets pretty loud. The tables had crumbs on them and there were crumbs on the floor as well, which didn’t make the place feel very clean. Overall the flat white was fine, but definitely not the best in Polanco.
Very nice little coffee shop with a nice selection of drinks and snacks
Stayed in Polanco for 3 weeks over the Christmas/NYE period and we stopped in for coffees almost every day because it quickly became our favorite coffee in CDMX! Very cute little cafe, workers are all kind and make the coffees perfect!!
It’s always a good time to have a break at PAUSA!
A cute café with disappointing service and underwhelming drinks. I was acknowledged and spent some time exploring their long drink menu, I was particularly intrigued by their chai options: regular, sugar-free, and vanilla. When I asked how sweet the regular chai was, the barista’s vague response “it’s sweet” was less than helpful. I opted for a sugar-free chai with Oatly, while adding that I planned to enjoy it in the café. My request was met with an indifferent glance. I paid $90, which felt steep for chai, and took a seat. When my drink arrived, it was served in a takeaway cup, completely disregarding my request to drink at the cafe. This, along with the unfriendly attitude of the baristas, gave the impression that they were eager for me to leave, despite having over an hour and a half until closing time. The chai itself was the biggest letdown. It tasted overly sweet and nothing like the sugar-free option I had ordered, leaving me to wonder if they had even prepared it correctly (1/10). The indifference of the staff along with the incorrect preparation of my drink soured the entire experience. Paying $90 for a drink I didn’t want and receiving such cold treatment was very disappointing.
