The quality and price are excellent, 10000/10. The only problem is that, being such a busy area, many people cut in line, making it very slow to be served, but everyone is very friendly ✨️ The lemonade is very refreshing, as is the peach Oolong tea 🍑✨️
Putting Mixue to the Test (Zócalo Branch) We went to the opening of Mixue in the heart of Mexico City. We arrived at 7:00 PM and had a 40-minute wait. The system is divided: a fast line for ice cream and a much slower one for drinks. What we tried: We ordered four of their most popular drinks, all with 30% sugar (ideal if you don't like it too sweet) and a little ice: -Oolong Tea with Peach: Definitely our favorite; the gelatin gives it an excellent texture. -Passion Fruit with Jasmine and Tapioca: Natural flavor, not "fragrant" at all. Very refreshing. -Milk Tea with Boba: Average flavor, it does the job but isn't surprising. -Oolong Tea: Simple flavor; without additives, it feels a bit flat with the 30% sugar. The Good and the Bad The Good: The Price: For $120 MXN we bought 4 drinks (the price of one elsewhere). Technical Details: We asked for a small amount of ice, and 30 minutes later they were still ice cold and not watered down. Plus, they gave us a thermal bag for the multiple purchase. Service: The employees are very friendly and don't stop despite the crowds. The Bad: The tapioca was undercooked; it felt a bit dry and hard in the center. Availability: Due to high demand, they were out of black tea and lemonade. The Wait: 40 minutes (or more depending on the line) is a challenge; you have to arrive early. Is it worth it? Yes, for the price you pay, you won't find anything better in the area. It's the ideal place to refresh yourself without overspending, as long as you don't mind the opening line. Note: Their website mentions upcoming openings at Town Center El Rosario, Plaza Chalco, and Ciudad Azteca. Rating: 4 out of 5 muerdelplato ⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you're complaining about the wait time… honestly, it's unnecessary. They just opened the branch, so you just need a little common sense and patience. It's totally worth it. The cone costs $8 and it's a real treat: creamy, delicious, and lasts a long time. It's not like others that are similarly priced and taste like water or are "rigged" (only full on top and hollow on the bottom). Here, they're super generously filled. The cone is amazing, and the cookie is delicious too. The drinks are also delicious. You have to try the sundae. I ordered the mango one, and it doesn't taste artificial at all; it has a very natural and super tasty flavor. Highly recommended. I hope they open more branches because it's definitely worth it.
