So good, clean & intentional, great location attentive staff. I was happy to have found this for breakfast
The worst almond croissant I've had in Mexico City. Also the cheesecake, I tried one bite and threw it out. The girls at the desk were friendly however.
I'm leaving this place quite disappointed. The staff is very rude. My companion and I wanted to sit at a table upstairs, and the waitress on duty was extremely abrupt, denying us access by saying they were about to close. She also made some comments about the time, but it wasn't closing time yet; we arrived with plenty of time. We had to sit downstairs, and throughout the entire service, she remained rude and refused to serve us several items. It's also worth mentioning that the place was quite dirty.
the worst food I have had for a long time. Both soup and main course arrived cold, including MEAT which is alarming. Tasteless, looked it was sitting in the kitchen for some time, had to return it 2x. The service is not good either, I will not return here ever again.
Awful experience. To get started, my husband and I waited at the host stand to be seated for about 5 minutes. You may think they were busy, well there was only 1 table in the whole restaurant. The manager was seated with his laptop at the second table facing the entrance with 2 staff members, eating with a 3 lt Coke on the floor. One of the team members looked at us and said something to him, to which he didn't even looked up. The staff member approached us and told us to seat where we wanted. We sat and ordered two hot chocolates and some pastry. The chocolate was straight up cold, the pastry stale. We order 2 chicken soups and a grilled sandwich. It took 15 min to bring the somewhat warm order with some old, juiceless limes on the side. As soon as I put the spoon on the soup a funky smell came up. The chicken was bad. I was in perplex that the kitchen couldn't catch that, and can't understand how would they took so long to serve something that was spoiled. When we informed tour waitress she offered to changed it but we instead asked for the check. She approached the manager who couldn't care less. I can't understand how he can be a manager. If it were my restaurant, customer experience would mean everything and he is just not fit for the job. We left the place to never come back. Now I am writing this review from the Sanborns down the street where we were greeted immediately with a smile. We order chicken soup. Hot and delicious and no staff members are eating on their shift. In fact the soup took 5 minutes to be served with fresh limes and avocados. If you are planning to visit Le Pain Quotidien, better eat at Sanborns⨠If anyone from leadership read this and cares, feel free to reach out for more info.
