I don't really understand this bar's business philosophy. It's well-located, the food is relatively good, and it's a neighborhood bar. All the ingredients for a recommendable place, but the people who work there (the owners, I imagine) manage to drive away their customers with their lack of manners, professionalism, and a service that leaves much to be desired. I'm giving them 5 stars because they're more bothered by the fact that people come, so I encourage everyone to go and order "weird" things: a zero-calorie cola, a fresh orange juice, or anything that will make you short-circuit, and enjoy the show.
A great bar and the owners are super friendly.
Unpretentious, neighborhood bar, good tapas, (delicious croquettes)
Family breakfast. The person behind the bar (owner?) wasn't very friendly. I had to repeat how we wanted our drinks. I ordered a Cola Cao with cold milk, and they brought it at room temperature. I ordered toast, and they asked if it was sliced bread. I had to repeat that I wanted it plain. When they brought our drinks to the table, they practically threw them on it, as if we were... I don't know. The toast was chewy; it was enough to make you hungry. The only good thing was the peaceful setting. In short, I don't think we'll be back. There are other places to choose from, and not just because of the food, but because of the customer service. They should pay a little more attention to it, since these businesses also rely on word of mouth. It takes a lot of effort to gain and retain a customer, but it only takes a second to lose one. I'll leave it at that.
Today I went for the first and last time. I'm giving one star because it doesn't give me the option to give one. We arrived around 3:30 p.m., so I asked the waiter how long the kitchen was open to see if we could order or not. The waiter replied, "Well, until 4 p.m. Otherwise, how long will the kitchen be open?" I was amazed, but my partner wanted to stay there, so he ordered a portion of croquettes, and I ordered three scrambled eggs with bacon, a beer, and a sparkling water. When my plate arrived, I saw that the eggs were too raw for my liking. So I asked the waiter if it could be made a little more. He left the table complaining (and he wasn't at all discreet, because I could clearly hear him complaining about what he had ordered). When we asked for the bill, it came to €17.30. They charged me €7 for 3 scrambled eggs with bacon strips, and I asked the waiter if the charge was correct, because it's not on the menu. What is on the menu are the €7 combinations, which were 2 eggs with pork loin or chicken and potatoes. But instead of answering like a normal person, especially one who's dealing with the public, with the minimum of politeness like I was talking to him, he goes and gets upset, and says, look at the menu, and shows me the part of the menu that says 2 eggs, pork loin and potatoes (and I can see he didn't know that pork loin is one thing and bacon is another), and says: "I also gave you 3 eggs." "Does that seem expensive to you?" "Well, pay me whatever you want and that's it," and I was freaking out about his behavior, because if he treats everyone like that, that place is destined for failure. Meanwhile, he was already yelling at me, and I said, "I don't like your attitude at all, it's very aggressive. At no point did I say it was expensive, much less that I wasn't going to pay. I just asked if what I ate was €7." He said, "Look, if you're not happy, go inside and complain to the boss." It all seemed so surreal to me, so I just said he could charge me and leave. Nothing like that has ever happened to me anywhere. The customer service is appalling. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.
