Churros, hot chocolate & other sweet treats, plus breakfast, in an enduring spot with a chandelier....
This place is a huge disappointment. Even though the man at the entrance was kind and patient with taking all the orders, we realised very quickly that most of the options in the menu weren’t available. When we sat at the table, the waitress was extremely rude with us. We made a big order, we were 8 people and the food started to arrive right after we accommodated ourselves (maybe too quickly). The tortillas were dry resembling like re-heated, an orange juice was missing and the only answer we got was “it wasn’t written in the order”. But the worst part was really the pancakes. The pancakes were completely dry, some were burnt, and clearly not made in that moment. They were completely uneatable, old and hard. In the picture on the menu they also had strawberries so I went to the counter to ask for some fruit and that I could pay for it extra, the answer I got was “we don’t have fruit” from another rude waitress. I just couldn’t eat it, the prices aren’t at all fair for anything that is offered in this place. Be careful because you pay before you seat and eat so you can’t even change your order or send food back.
Horrible service. DO NOT COME HERE. Never seen such a hostile and rude service, we asked for pancakes with fruit and it came the wrong order without any fruit and really bad quality. When we asked about it, we got looked up and down as if we were inferior and got told there’s no fruit. Also the presentation of the food is horrible and cold. We asked for churros, porras and the spanish breakfast and the only good thing was the chocolate.
Churros is freshly made, they’re nice but chocolate was not tasty as I expected. I tried better ones for sure. And fyi; you should buy churros and chocolate separately. Besides that, the staff didn’t seem happy or attentive. They all appeared tired and a bit depressed.
Great service. We were warmly welcomed and really enjoyed our breakfast at Tacita de Plata. The tortillas were very good. The prices were reasonably priced for the area and there was a decent amount of seating available inside. I definitely recommend!
Nice breakfast spot – great for families! We were a big family with kids, and it was hard to find a place that would let us sit down right away. Other restaurants told us we had to order outside first before getting a table – not easy when you have hungry children. But here at Tacita de Plata, they welcomed us with a smile and gave us seats first, no problem. That really made a difference for us. 🥐 Good croissants ☕️ Nice coffee and hot chocolate 🥞 The pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate were so good – the kids loved them 📋 Big menu with lots of options 💶 Prices were fair for Madrid 😊 Friendly and helpful staff If you're in Madrid for a few days, I recommend coming here for breakfast. Simple, tasty, and relaxed.
