🥯🧋🧁❌🤦🏽♀️❌🤦🏽♀️ Before going, I read the reviews (as I always do before visiting a restaurant) and I couldn't understand how a place with such tempting dishes and drinks could have such a sour experience. It just doesn't match the sweetness of their products. So I assumed the people who left the bad reviews were just bitter and decided to give it a chance, since their dishes are so tempting and I didn't want a couple of unhappy people to ruin my chances of trying those desserts. Well, after going, I'm just another one of those "bitter" people I questioned. The service isn't just mediocre, it's awful. We sat down on the terrace and I was reading the menu (it was open, facing me, and I was holding it and reading it) when a waitress approached us: “Do you know yet?” If I was reading the menu, it should be understood that I didn't know yet. When we finally had our order, another woman came to “take our order” (she's supposed to come with a piece of paper/notebook/tablet…) and when she saw that we were going to order more than two things, she said to my husband: “Wait, I'm going to get something to write on because otherwise…” and at that moment, she put us off ordering the eight dishes we were going to order, so we ordered one each and one drink each. I don't know if this place is a hospitality school or what, but going out to take an order without having anything to write it down on is not only risking losing the sale, but it also shows a lack of confidence in your memory that would put even a data scientist to shame. One of the things we wanted to try was the Lotus milkshake, which is listed on the menu under that name, but the conversation between her and her husband went something like this: - And a Lotus milkshake? - What is a milkshake, a smoothie? - Yes, this smoothie that says Lotus milkshake here. - A Lotus smoothie then, right? - Yes, this one that says smoothie, a milkshake. - Then a Lotus smoothie. I don't know who named the dishes, but it's not like you have the menu in five languages and that's why you doubt three times what the customer ordered. The bubble tea is fun. But don't expect the bubble tea from Usera or China, because it's not even remotely bubble tea, but it's pleasant. At one point, one of the waitresses asked us, "Can I clear the plates?" We said yes. Five minutes later, she came back and, in addition to taking the plates, she also took one of the glasses (which wasn't finished). My husband went to ask for a spoon because he had just taken mine in the glass, and without it, I couldn't eat the syrup on my milkshake. The dishes are interesting and fun, and the drinks menu is extensive and really tempting. But the service is rather deplorable. They also charge an extra €1.20 service fee on the terrace, which you only find out about when you see the bill, as it's not mentioned anywhere. When we left, there was no "goodbye," "see you later," "thank you for coming," "bye"... nothing, absolutely nothing. The waitress barely even waited for us to get up before starting to clear the table, even though there weren't any other customers waiting. She was there when we left, but I had to say "see you later" myself (I have facial paralysis; speaking is very painful for me) when I was only about half a meter away from the table, and I only answered her almost out of obligation. A lovely way to serve a customer, only to leave them with a bitter, almost sour, taste in their mouth, from a place that sells wonderful sweets. Irony personified in a coffee shop.
Fine dine experience.
This is a good cafe with good decor and a large variety of options. However, they miss simple offerings like a toast with only ham or a toast with manchego. Instead you get breakfast creations that not everybody can eat for breakfast. They do have a large menu with lots of sweets and staff is nice. However, many of their items are overpriced for the quality and the location.
Great burger. I had the guacamole and it was perfect 🥰
