This gelaterie has a selection of special ice cream flavors for a decent prize. However, the two types I had (pistachio and one with nuts from Piemont) were to sweet for my taste and did not feel that fresh. The atmosphere inside and the menu selection was nice.
Ice cream is very tasty but service bad, I ordered a big size which should have 3 flavors but the employee didnβt mention a word so I got only 2 flavors, donβt they feel strange people who pay 3 flavor but only order 2?
My first gelato of this trip that lead to us eating gelato almost every day. This was amazing. All of the flavors we tried were phenomenal. I personally got the yogurt which was so fresh and yummy and not too sweet. One scoop is a good portion for one person. The place was also very clean and nice vibes.
So, La Romana is our favorite Gelato shop, which we discovered in Valencia. And when we visited Madrid, it was obvious for us to look for their outlet and sure enough weβre pleased with the quality and service - very much pleased. And in this place, the space was bigger. We ordered 2X espresso one ice cream with nocciola and pistachio. The other one is nocciola & cheesecake pistachio. Happy us β₯οΈ
Best Italian ice cream in Madrid. The real taste of gelato, wide variety, lovely smiling staff. It is a small oasis for any foodie who loves real Italian ice cream. The ones not interested in ice cream can still enjoy a nice dessert because their creps and little pastries are delicious, too. Please do try the salted caramel ice cream, you will be coming back over and over and praying they don't discontinue it any time soon. :)
