Landmark bronze sculpture in a bustling city square featuring a bear & a strawberry tree....
Very creative statue. Sadly, jt is so crowded, that it's difficult to even just take a picture of it. The space around the statue is also very beautiful. There are some nice buildings and another statue around. Definitely something you should see when visiting, but overcrowded because of that fact.
The statue of El Oso y el Madroño in Madrid is somehow smaller than you expect, yet it is a true star. You stand in front of the bear, calmly reaching up to the strawberry tree, and you cannot help but smile. He looks like he has mastered the art of taking life slowly, focused on what really matters, completely unbothered by the crowds around him. Located at Puerta del Sol, it is a meeting point for people from all over the world. Some are taking photos, some are waiting for friends, others are simply soaking in the atmosphere. The bear, meanwhile, remains perfectly relaxed, as if he has known for centuries that there is no need to rush. It may not be the biggest monument in the city, but it has personality and charm. ✨Moments like this are the true highlights that stay in your memory long after the trip is over✨
The architecture was amazing! i lt was great to see so many people around your and observe variety of cultures from around the world. A lot of options for food and shopping!
The symbol of Madrid and its trademark. A very symbolic and beautiful monument, I believe it is much more beautiful and with a better experience when there is no excessive crowd (such as before the New Year).
Even though I visited before as cabin crew, this time felt completely different — in the best way. There was a real holiday spirit in the air, and I finally had the time to enjoy the main square and the city at a slower, more meaningful pace. A beautiful Madrid moment.
