El Gordito

Food was good, quite a limited menu and they were either out of a lot of things or couldn’t modify them in any way (ie fried vs scrambled eggs), no pastries at all. Very small and tightly packed in place with uncomfortable little stools. I did love the yogurt bowl I got though I would recommend that highly!

Accidentally stumbled upon this place and luckily walked it for breakfast! The decor is beautiful and well thought out, the menu is cured, and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. We had a coffee with a granola bowl and pan con tomate. So simple yet so delicious. In the summer, they had the doors open which was so nice for the warm breeze and people watching. If I come back to Madrid I will definitely be back. Gracias!!

My girlfriends and I were very brave to try out this place on a Saturday at midday—we waited 1h30 in line outside…Had it not been such a sunny day and great company, we definitely would not have waited this long. Having said that, the food did not disappoint. Our order was taken immediately and we had: the breakfast sandwich with avocado, egg and bacon, the pancakes with maple syrup and butter (veryyy fluffy, light and delicious) and the sweet potato fries. The coffee was also good and the service was very friendly. Not sure we will be back on a Saturday but would love to come back again on another day of the week.

Gordito it’s the perfect place in Madrid for breakfast or lunch. The Jamón Ibérico and tomato was soooo tasty. The pork sandwich was 🤤 and they have vegan and dairy free options. The price was good for the quality of food you get. Definitely I recommend.

We loved the place! Even though we had to wait around 30/40 minutes to find a spot (it was also a Saturday) we enjoyed the place and the food. The pancakes are great, they would need more syrup tho. My boyfriend was really happy with the sandwich he ordered. The coffee is good and the place is beautifuly designed. All in all we really liked it!
