Weekday mornings are the quietest
Went here with my uncle, who lives nearby, for breakfast on my last morning in Madrid, so I have nostalgic feelings about it. The porras were cold but the churros were hot. I didn't really like the style of chocolate they serve - I found it bland. But the staff are friendly and the place has a chill, local vibe. It even has a slot machine! It's nice to sit in the window and watch the neighbourhood going about its morning business.
The churros were just okay, like any other, but the problem was the service. There was only one girl working, and I felt like joining her at the bar to help her. Is that even possible? It's the same every time I go; it's like they're exploiting the staff, who provide customers with the bare minimum of service.
The service was fantastic, especially from the waitresses, who were very attentive and detail-oriented. The churros and hot chocolate were average in flavor, as expected, and reasonably priced, but the churros were freshly made, which was a nice touch. I would definitely return because of the service.
The experience at the chocolate shop is unique. The Venezuelan staff there provide exceptional service and a warm, attentive atmosphere. And what can I say about the delicious hot chocolate accompanied by exquisite churros—warm, crispy, and flavorful—that remind us, on both warm and cold afternoons, of the beauty of life and sharing. Thank you so much.
Excellent service from the waiter who served us on Sunday, December 4th, even though he was the only one behind the bar. He was very attentive, friendly, and quick with our orders. We'll be back! ☺️
