Experience was okay, the price was expensive for the quality of the food and the service was a little poor. You have to pay 10% extra if you want to eat on the table.
It was too expensive. I went there because I had a toilet emergency, and I didn't want to be rude, so I ordered a café and this bizocho (plain cooky). I ate this combo many times, and it is around 4 - 4.50 euro, but here? Nothing special. A little cup of café and a plain Cooky. The only special in the place is that it is very close to the castle, but nothing else. If you don't want to waste your money, walk 5-10 minutes more, and you will get better prices.
Excellent food! The chicken and brie tapas; the goat cheese tapas; and the pork and brie tapas was outstanding!!! Generous portions, too! They were fast to get us seated. I was starving and they were quick to get us our order. If I lived in Madrid, I would definitely go there at least once a week! Loved it!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Pricing, Poor Food Quality, and Rude Staff I had lunch here today and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered two paellas, which were clearly listed in the menu at €16.95 each. However, when the bill arrived, we were charged €18.60 per portion. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that the prices shown in the menu I was given at the table were “for takeaway only.” This is absolutely unacceptable. If I am sitting at a table in a restaurant, the menu I am handed should reflect the actual prices I will be charged. Anything else is misleading and dishonest. Charging customers more than what is clearly stated in the menu is not just bad service – it’s a form of deception. To make matters worse, the food itself was below average – bland, uninspired, and far from what one would expect from a proper Spanish paella. And if that wasn’t enough, the staff were rude, abrupt, and entirely unhelpful. When I raised the issue, they acted as if I was the problem, rather than taking responsibility for the confusing and misleading pricing. As a visitor to Madrid, this experience left a very bad impression. I would strongly advise others to stay away from this place. REPLY: Thank you for your reply. However, the 10% surcharge is written in very small print at the bottom of the menu and only in Spanish, which makes it clearly misleading for non-Spanish-speaking visitors. Transparency should be a priority, especially in a city that welcomes so many tourists.
Would give zero if I could. The food we ordered was off. Disgusting grilled octopus and slimy ham. No one seemed to care that we left the expensive plate of octopus completely untouched after the first bite. The staff seemed unconcerned that a customer would abandon a 25+ Euros plate of food after just one bite. I can only assume it happens often. We only went in because it was raining. Wish we'd stayed outside and got soaked instead. Avoid!
