If I could give this cafe more stars, I would! Several aspects make Cafelito stand out amongst the others, but one in particular has me particularly impressed. Firstly, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and service is quick. It's a bit small, so seating is limited and it easily feels crowded, but you never feel rushed. The star of the show for me is the iced barroquito; genuinely, this is the best coffee drink I've had to date. I was not familiar with this drink prior to coming, but I've since done some digging to try and replicate it at home. It's a cold espresso drink with condensed milk, a hint of lemon, and cinnamon. I was a little skeptical of this combination, but WOW. I had 3 full days in Madrid, and came back here twice for that drink. Do yourself a favor and go check them out!
This is a popular spot in Madrid for good reason. The staff was kind, friendly and patient with our terrible Spanish! It is a quaint atmosphere with a few small wooden tables for two and one large round table and one longer table that can accommodate larger groups. We went three times when we were in Madrid because the specialty coffees are delicious and so are the various toast options. I got the La Sombra multiple times. It is a latte made with honey, while my partner tried several different coffees each time. There is a toast with a pistachio cream (think Nutella consistency but with pistachios) base covered in dollops of soft cheese and sour cherries (exquisite!). I also tried the Salmon Avocado toast and it was an excellent savory option. Be prepared to sit and relax and enjoy yourself at a slower pace. I recommend getting a punch card even if youβre only visiting for a few days. You will want to return! Thank you Coco and Chris for the kind and friendly service!
There are not enough stars in the sky to accurately rate this cafe. The atmosphere is quaint and comfortable, the staff feels and treats you like family, and the coffee is the best I've ever had. We were in Madrid for 2 and 1/2 days and gladly filled their loyalty punch card. The Cafelito, both iced and frozen, is a must try for its unique, fresh/rich complexity. I will miss this place and their friendly staff β€οΈ
Great coffee spot! The aroma hits you as soon as you walk in, and the flavor is consistently rich and smooth, clearly made with high-quality beans. The baristas are super friendly, attentive, and quick to prepare orders, even during busy hours. The place has a cozy, modern atmosphere that makes it perfect for a quick stop or a relaxed chat. I also love how easy and efficient their takeaway option is, perfect to get it on the go.
I like the vibe of this place. However, we waited a long time in queue to get a takeaway coffee. I had a cafelito bombon - the first time that i got this, quite sweet (i think because of the condensed milk) but it was alright. Not the best iced caffe latte tho, my friend got one and it wasnt what we expected. Thank you cafelito.
