Weekday mornings are the quietest
I wanted to love this place. It had beautiful decor. The service was brilliant. The cappuccino was well done. However, the food was not good. I had the brick of brie and mushrooms beet mix that had an unfortunate aftertaste when mixed with the pickled onion juice. The hummus was bland but okay. The dish was disappointing in first sight and in taste. I am sad to say that it was not good at all and it was not cheap.
Very good coffee in a cozy place. We also tried their cheesecake and it was amazing.
I read the reviews and chose to try this place because there were lots of positive comments. We entered and the place was quiet with only a couple of other diners. We started to sit at a table with 3 chairs but the waitress immediately told us not to sit there as it was for four people and asked us to move to a tiny bistro table for two. Ok...maybe they were expecting a rush of customer so we moved table. While we were looking at the menu, two people came in and sat at the table we were moved from and not a word was said by the waitress who asked us to move.🫤 Onto to the food....poached eggs were just about warm and barely cooked. Slippery half cooked egg white on a sloppy mix of cream cheese and avocado is just unappetising. Who thinks this up? As for the coffee....not only was this the most expensive cup of coffee I have ever had in the whole of Spain, I sent it back because it was frankly undrinkable. It tasted sour. I've no idea what went wrong but it was just wrong. In addition when I asked for sugar I was pointed to a shelf and told "it's over there"...so basically self service. So all in all this was a big disappointment. How on earth these other 5 star reviews stack up is beyond me but I'm afraid I can't recommend this place for service, quality or price. EDIT after reading reply from business owner: That's very sad the owner should lie in reply to my review. There was no table for 6 people! The table we were not allowed to sit at has 3 chairs. It's in the photo. We were told to sit at a table for 2 not a table for 3 as the owner claims. I have now downgraded my 2 star review to 1 star because of their lies and very bad attitude towards 'new' customers. There are many places nearby for good coffee and food at much better prices.
Nice Craft Coffee w great Desserts. The barista was nice and amicable. The cheesecake superb. The coffee is good. Even if I don’t lean on fruity blends, I liked it. Good Craft. Nice Atmos. Good People.
I've tried a lot of cafes and brunches in Madrid, but honestly I believe punto is my favorite one. I tried the Ojo de Tigre and it was so good. The quality and quantity of thr dish justifies the price alone, yet it also comes with a drink. I had the Carrot Apple and Ginger juice which was great as well. The service was excellent as well with their staff being so organized even on a very busy Sunday. I will definitely recommend this place. I will be back!
