Weekday mornings are the quietest
This is our second time trying our luck here. The location is great, and the place itself is quite nice, but overall, the experience was rather mediocre. The customer service leaves much to be desired. The manager was quite rude, and the waiter had a real struggle to seat us at one of the high tables. We don't understand why, but we had to insist that we'd be fine. Luckily, the second waitress who served us was quite nice. It doesn't take much effort to smile, and it really does make a big difference to the customer experience. As for the food, well, we ordered some Padrón peppers. The peppers themselves were good quality and had a nice flavor, but many of them were undercooked. We're talking about a very simple dish; you just have to fry the peppers without burning them and add coarse salt, but unfortunately, as I said, half of them were only half-cooked. Then we ordered some xouvas, which, for those who don't know, are sardines but much smaller, and to our surprise, they brought us some rather large, quite dry, and battered sardines. They were absolutely terrible. The bread was tasty, but I think, given that it's marketed as a Galician restaurant, some rustic bread or something similar would have been more appropriate. In short, an average restaurant, nothing special. We gave it a second chance, but there won't be a third.
Well, to be honest… I was expecting quite a bit more, but the food wasn't bad at all. Perhaps the prices were a little high compared to what I'm used to (but this is more subjective than anything else, since everyone knows what they can afford). But overall, the dishes were plentiful, tasty, and high-quality. The menu offers a lot of variety and typical local dishes. As for the service, aside from the waiters being rushed and clearing the table in a hurry, it was Three Kings' Day, and I understand that things aren't the same as on any other day. Overall, we would go back because everyone was very friendly, and we left satisfied.
The food was average, there was no ribeye steak or sirloin steak. They have no idea what gluten-free or celiac-friendly food is. I asked for a menu with food intolerances, and they brought me dirty sheets of paper and told me to look up the intolerances one by one. I asked directly for gluten-free dessert, and they said, "I have nothing for you," not even flan or pudding. The waiter was awful. I asked for gluten-free bread, but they didn't bring it. After €160, they asked us to leave because they were closing the till. The meat they brought from what was left was extremely overcooked. I asked if I could eat the potatoes, and they replied, "Better not, because I don't know."
