Japanese snacks, meals & teas offered in a colourful, canal-side cafe with a play room for kids....
Absolutely adore this cafe, Iβd advise to book a table specially on the weekends as it can be tricky to get tables. Their food selection is amazing with a variety of savoury and sweet treats, my favourite being the Saba-Kin Meal which comes with rice, side dishes and mackerel (no bones) and a miso soup. Their cheesecakes are top notch, itβs not super sweet so you can make room for two ;) Highly recommend getting a hot drink as well. Due to the fact that they come in these beautiful graphically abstract chunky ceramics by Shun Kadohashi. Drink wise, if you like sweet nutty flavours, the black sesame latte is a perfect addition.
A warm and cosy Japanese cafe near Angel and Islington area. For the food, we especially enjoyed the hot udon soup and the brown rice cake, which had a really unique and subtly sweet flavour. All the drinks were great too - definitely recommend getting one of the hot lattes (both matcha and hojicha were delicious), as they come in these beautiful mugs. This lovely cafe is a rare find in central London.
A lovely family/kid friendly place that serves delicious Japanese food! I was so excited to see items that I hadnβt seen anywhere else, so of course we had to get ochazuke and soba noodles. The star of the show was: the soba. Wow. We got vegan soba with no extra toppings whatsoever and it was SO good subhanallah. I would urge anyone going here to try their soba noodles!
Love the food here and atmosphere. I have been here many times. The hojicha latte is recommended and soba dish. The black sesame cheese cake is nice but very small. The price match the size anyway. It is worth to try. Definitely will come back again if I am around.
A wonderful little spot serving authentic Japanese food. I ordered the set menu and had a great meal, very simple yet excellent and great value for money. Matcha was solid too. The atmosphere is kids heavy, so if you donβt like familyβs it may not be too your taste and some bits felt slightly in need of renovation. Other than that though a great experience if you like traditional Japanese food
