Grounded Cafe 📍Bow Crap👎🏼 Matcha was my friend’s It came in at not even warm, not cold. Pattern was a little sloppy. That matcha latte was 100% left out and given. Had to ask for a hotter one, they gave it..it came back warm, no steam. Got to be a joke fr Truffle mayo fries £4.50, somewhat decent portion. Tasted whatever though, fries were good, mayo just tasted 🤷🏽♀️ Blueberry Basque cheesecake £4. Something should be £2. Something was nice. But hard to mess up to be honest. Btw the way the cheesecake and banana cake was plated in the photo was exactly how they came?? Is it difficult to put in the centre? Or on the plate? We asked one of the waitresses about the cream crossaint, to which she kind of replied, that she’s not sure but it should be. She can’t guarantee but it should be. Hello? Go out and check? Are you gonna take responsibility if we buy it and it’s not filled with cream, but we took it under your unsure assumption? We didn't get that but we did get the banana cake when on display the banana cakes and the carrot cakes were on one plate, and they were identical other than the actual cake. Which they looked very similar but the cream on the top and the toppings were identical. I don’t know why they did that it’s so silly , at least a different toppings so it can be differentiated. Or on separate plates We got the banana cake again £4 something, I am not joking. I don’t know what that was. That was not a cake. It was banana cake without the banana in it. Banana is the most prominent flavour in any bake you put in, in any smoothie you put it in. I am not kidding, there was no banana in this at all. Really just tasted like cake to the point where we even were discussing with carrot cake, again we took it back, they reassured us banana cake but offered to take off the bill which we agreed on. honestly, don’t know why this place was full, was very disappointing in every aspect of the food tables were pretty tightly packed together.
Garden brunch atmosphere with plenty of seating! Tried the shakshouka with sourdough which was delicious. Great flavor coming from the caramelized onions stewed with the tomatoes and the sourdough also had a good crust. I was originally under the impression that you could get some work done here since it seemed to be cafe-ish but as soon I pulled out the laptop someone rushed over and let me know that they have a cap for how long you can stay. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me and completely understandable but probably good to know in advance.
I love this place. I love Grounded. Highly recommended. I come here for two reasons: amazing specialty coffee, made by true professionals, and delicious dishes that are worth every penny. Today I came again, and Yasia (I hope I wrote the name correctly) made an absolutely amazing cardamom cappuccino using high-quality coffee beans. Five ⭐️ to the barista! And Emilia is outstanding service. I truly felt at home. I will come back to this place again and again. Please give all the service charge to these amazing employees 😝 Just kidding. Honestly, everyone at Grounded is a true professional. Cheers!
Halal food place in East London. Visited Grounded for the very first time. The environment is amazing along with the overall decoration. We visited on Sunday afternoon so had to wait briefly before we had our table. Tne staff is wonderful and friendly. Talking about food, there were absolutely delicious. I have attached the photos along with the name of the dishes for convenience. Price is average to high but the food is worth the money. 🤩
Grounded Bow is one of the best brunch spots I’ve visited in East London. The atmosphere is bright, modern, and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a solo coffee. I ordered the Beef Full English Breakfast, and it was excellent, generous, well cooked, and full of flavour. Everything on the plate tasted fresh, and you could tell real care goes into the ingredients. The coffee here is also a highlight: smooth, strong, and perfectly prepared. Overall, Grounded Bow delivers on quality, service, and atmosphere, I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and tasty brunch in East London
