Staff are nice, atmosphere is pretty good. Expensive and below average food. I had the savoury pancakes and they were so dry could only eat half. To be fair to the staff they did offer extra toppings at £1.60 to try to make them less dry but they were unsalvageable.

Popped in today for a coffee found out some of the services that are provided by Poplar Union. The staff are nice with indoor/outdoor seating. The food offering is nice but not cheap. Will definitely recommend & will pop more regularly

I’ve been obsessed with their recent sweet potato and corn vegan sandwich! I know they rotate menus, so I wasn’t surprised, but still a bit sad that they didn’t have the sandwiches out today. Always love their lunch options and particularly enjoyed the cherry tomato’s and garlic ricotta bread! One of my favourite regular spots.

It was a quick stop. I ate a sandwich and drank tea. I really liked it; it was delicious, and the staff were lovely. I will definitely go again. 18 Jun 2025 Update: I am eating my lunch nearly three times a week here. There is a lady who is so kind and helpful, but there are also a lot of staff who look tired and unhappy and unlikely to help, even with toasting bread near the soup. I am happy to go there anyway because it is the best in the area, but I wish all the staff were smiling and helpful.

This place is a hidden treasure. The staff is lovely. The food is fresh and hot. My favourite thing is the cheese and marmite bun. Whoever created it, was a genius. It’s amazing and additive. Every time I’m near I come over to see if they have one. Scramble eggs also lovely and they have a very cheap builder’s tea which is appreciated in these dire times.
