Café da Garagem is a wonderful coffee spot with absolutely beautiful views over Lisbon. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered an iced coffee with a side of banana bread and enjoyed it while taking in the stunning city views—it was the perfect combination. Definitely recommend stopping by this café when visiting Lisbon.
We decided to try this café after seeing it frequently on Instagram. As it is quite popular, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table; however, the staff member was very kind and welcoming. The café itself is beautiful and clearly designed to be Instagram-friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was rather average, and the food did not stand out either. We ordered a toasted ham and cheese sandwich, which was somewhat dry, although the sweet potato fries were good. While the place is visually appealing, it tends to be very crowded, and we would probably not visit again.
We stopped by Café da Garagem primarily for the views, which are often mentioned in other reviews. While the views are decent, they are not anything special and can easily be enjoyed right outside at the railing before the building, without going in or paying. Unfortunately, everything else was a letdown. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. We ordered the duck and spinach empadas, the soup of the day, and a latte, and none of it was enjoyable. The empadas were served cold, and while I’m not sure if that’s how they are intended to be served, they were not good. The soup was underwhelming, and the latte was poor enough that we did not finish it. The service was abysmal. At one point, I saw two waitresses sitting on the stairs behind us on the balcony smoking cigarettes. Whether that was their break or not, it came across as unprofessional and detracted from the experience. Overall, this is not a place I would recommend for food or service. If you want the view, you can get essentially the same one outside without stepping inside. Don’t expect much beyond that.
I was excited for this place because of the view told by many. Definately the view is fantastic, even the walk up to the place was great. I did hear lots of comment about not recommending the food.. we cane for brunch and menu wasnt many. Just a breakfast board or granola or toasted bread for food option. We ordered breakfast board for two and it was ok. Coffee wasnt great, but i did come for the view and shouldve known better to listen to other peoples comment. Definately come for the view if you want to experience it but have food at a proper place before you head up here.
One of the loveliest coffee shops in Lisboa!! The view is just spectacular; you can see a few viewpoints from here given that it is located in the middle. The pricing is fair, the staff is very welcoming and kind. I really appreciated their kind attitude and the fair pricing.
