Artisan chocolate and coffee shop run by a São Tomé cacao family. Bean-to-bar chocolate paired with single-origin coffee. Tiny but extraordinary. A focused visit rather than a long work session.

Artisan chocolate and coffee shop run by a São Tomé cacao family. Bean-to-bar chocolate paired with single-origin coffee...
This is our favourite chocolate cafe in Lisbon and we frequent this place almost once every month. Their liquid chocolate and chocolate brownie are the best kept secrets!!! The brownie is so good and perfect. Their assortment of home made chocolates is also awesome. We never leave without buying the chocolates. During weekends there is a queue which reflects the popularity of the cafe. It is indeed a highly recommendable outlet!!
Possibly the most expensive chocolate in the world, but tasty. Six truffles and a 60g bar of chocolate - €35 (which came as a total surprise as the labelling is haphazard). Caution to the customer - the staff are likely to get your order wrong. Never seen a local in here, but still nice to try São Tomé 🇸🇹 chocolate.
A must visit for chocoholics to taste bean-to-bar from an artisan who actually cultivated the beans turned to bars. Sourcing from her plantations in São Tome and Príncipe, Bettina Corallo ensures the quality of every step in production that results in the purest of single varietal chocolate. But my favorite is an impure creation of hers: boozy bonbons made with raisins soaked in liquor.
Bettina Corallo was exactly what we’d been searching for—high-quality chocolate in Portugal that’s actually fresh, delicious, and kid-friendly too (which is surprisingly hard to find). The space is calm and elegant, and what makes it extra special is that they do their own roasting. You can really taste the difference. The chocolate is beautifully crafted—rich but not overly sweet—and the kids loved it just as much as we did. It’s also a great spot for thoughtful gifts. You can custom order your own box, and the packaging is stunning. Everything here feels intentional and elevated without being fussy. Bettina Corallo is a must if you’re serious about chocolate.
Service could be improved a bit but she was helpful enough. The shop is a lot smaller than I was thinking it would be. Most of the space is behind the counter for the workers and there are only a couple chairs in the front area for seating. No outdoor seating. They have a bunch of chocolates sold by weight and a few brownies in the glass case. They also have chocolate drinks and sorbets. We decided to try the cacao pulp fruit sorbet (5 euros) and it was freshly spun for us. Sweet and a little tart. We had never tried anything like it.
