Cozy and stylish roastery in Karaköy with high-speed WiFi, ample seating, and delicious coffee blends. A hidden gem tuck...
I stumbled across Karabatak while wandering through Karaköy, and I’m really glad I did. There are tons of cafés in this area but this one feels a bit kalmer. The interior immediately caught my eye. It’s got this cool vintage-industrial vibe that somehow still feels warm and inviting. Outside, there’s a sweet little terrace that looks out onto a charming street. What I really liked is that they keep all the windows open, so even if you sit inside, you still get that fresh air and connection to the street outside. It’s one of those small details that just makes a place feel good. It’s self-service here. You order at the front and pick up your drink from the back counter. The coffee and food were great. That said, it’s not cheap. You’re definitely paying a bit more than average, but you also get to sip your drink and eat your food right in the heart of one of the most lively neighborhoods in Istanbul, so in my book, it balances out.
This café offers a wonderful atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than planned. The service is excellent—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Drinks are well-made and feel clean and carefully prepared, which really shows their quality. The coffee is great and perfectly complements the overall experience. A fantastic spot for both relaxing moments and social gatherings. Highly recommended.
A bohemian hideaway for expats and liberal Muslims. Artists, writers, and intellectuals of all nations unite over delicious espresso. The servers behind the counter speak several languages including English. Vine leaves drape overhead and the interior decor is photo worthy - particularly the back room. Visitors treated with kindness and genuine hospitality as they mingle with Istanbuls young up and coming cultural leaders.
Proper coffee vibes 🤍 Stayed in the area for almost a week and this had to be one of my favorite spots (if not favorite) cool vibes, lots of seating and good coffee. Great place to sit down, relax and hang out My cortado rating: 4/5
This café feels like a place that didn’t try to be anything. So it became everything. This café feels like a secret you stumble into rather than a place you plan to visit. Grape leaves hang low like a natural ceiling, softening the light and slowing down the city outside. It’s self-service: you order at the counter and pick up your drinks in a side room, so there’s no long waiting, just a steady flow. The coffee is genuinely good, and the prices match the neighborhood. The atmosphere makes it absolutely worth it. A place so cozy you end up staying longer than you planned, without even trying.
