Quiet place right on a corner with a constant flow of customer. Apart from the coffee which I wouldn't recommend, the food and service were both fine.
Absolutely perfect. Cool vibe, great service and fantastic food! All the reviews are spot on. I ordered a dish that was a pan friend meatball, dipped in batter - served with potatoes, tomatoes and red onion. So delicious - can’t wait to return and have it again. Also had a ginger martini that hit the spot. Conversation with an Istanbul local also made my visit here special.
Absolutely brilliant Soho meets vintage meets old school library meets Danish minimalist design like vibe cafe/restaurant. FOOD: A huge range of vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes (also have vegan milks, smoothies, juices, coffee etc) with a focus on local produce, in season, fresh and wholefoods. As a coeliac I've eaten a number of meals here and still have at least 10 more meal options I'm yet to try! (think: quinoa, chia seed gf bread, grilled vegetables, dips, buckwheat pancakes etc). They advise that they can't guarantee coeliac safe foods due to possible cross contamination, so take caution necessary for you. STAFF: Absolutely lovely although one woman on a few occasions made errors with our order on two occasions of being here. They are very busy though, so these things can happen and she was always genuinely apologetic. INTERIOR: Gorgeous soft warm interior. There are some great spaces upstairs for those co-working/body doubling or for friends catching up. PRICING: Very reasonable, given the quality but certainly on the higher side of you're not used to these types of places. ACCESSIBILITY: The bathrooms are clean and well kept however are up a steep staircase so not suitable for those in wheelchairs, with prams etc. Seating outside makes it great for those with pets/smoking. OVERALL: Highly recommend and will keep coming back.
Journeys is a great spot right in the heart of Cihangir. The location is central and the seating options make it easy to find a spot that suits your mood. You can sit outside in the front, relax in the small garden at the back, hang out on the couches inside, or head upstairs to the working space if you need to get things done. The place is clean, the toilets are well kept, the staff is kind, and it is pet friendly too. The food always comes with a creative twist, so it is never exactly what you expect but always interesting. They have a few vegan options which is a plus. Prices are on the higher side compared to the average café in the area, but the quality and atmosphere make it worth it. It has become my go to spot in Cihangir.
Wonderful little cafe. Clean and warm with attentive and warm staff. The menu options are all healthy and are served in a beautifully presented way. This place made me love Turkish breakfast. Also there are fresh juices and nice teas and coffee!
