The Pantry

I had my first ever breakfast this week-end at the Pantry. Unfortunately, the food and the hot chocolate I got was tasteless and unpleasant. The service was quick but the restaurant is functioning like a factory at full regime so no time for proper interactions with the employees. The music is so loud that I wanted to leave as soon as possible. I cannot recommend this place.

Absolutely LUSH! 100% recommended! It's inside the shopping centre, so make sure you go in to find it! Beautiful place, clean and welcoming. I was staying nearby and I wanted a really good Full English Vegetarian Breakfast. It was 100% what I wanted! Really yummy, well presented and plenty of it. My daughter had the Nutella Brownie pancakes and mango smoothie. They were also absolutely delicious. It was so great we ate here both mornings! The cakes and muffins for sale looked absolutely amazing and I really wish I'd bought some for elevenses, but had no way to carry while travelling around unfortunately!

It’s a cute pantry but the food was not impressive. I ordered Pantry soup & special toastie with side salad. Expecting it to be something special as it has the name of the shop on it but a very simple potato soup (veggie soup of the day) & a raw onion, ham, cheese toast. Might give it another try with another dish but not memorable this time.

We decided to try this cafe for breakfast one day; it's very colourful and different, so we gave it a go. The portions were generous, and I think offers excellent value for money. Yes, the extensive menu suggests some dishes might be better than others, but our choices were delicious! The staff were polite, our food arrived quickly (it was early morning), and we had no complaints whatsoever. I'd happily return to explore more of the menu. This cafe is a perfect addition to the shopping centre, and I hope they stick around.

I visited here on a busy Sunday however regardless of how busy it was the food came quickly… sort of. I ordered a Caesar salad wrap and my friend ordered some pancakes. After ordering I sat down. My food arrived but my friend’s showed up as something we did not order and then they revealed that the order had basically been forgotten about and they had to put the order in again. Other than that it was good. The food was nice and a good price. I would say that the mishap was due to it being new or something like that. I would like to return and try some different items.
