Mismatched tablecloths give a old world kitsch to this trendy low level cafe with courtyard seating....
Can't rate the food as I only stopped in for coffee but I will be back. Such a wonderful hidden gem! Staff are absolutely top notch!! Very friendly and attentive. The cakes look sooooooo good!! The place has such a great vibe & atmosphere. You can step foot into the courtyard and very quickly forget you are in central Dublin. No other cafe like it. Looooove being able to browse the bookshop on the way in & out. Looking forward to going back on a day in summer so I can sit outside in the sun. Can see straight into the kitchen which is spotless & incredibly well organised. Love Dublin having fantastic places like this full of personality!! It's one of a kind and a must visit.
Came a few months ago, had a lovely chai! Staff were incredibly kind, gave me a free recipe book :)) I made the chocolate cake and ganache the other day and it was THE BEST!!! Thank you again ❤️
A truly special, tucked-away cafe with gorgeous cakes and scones and other treats baked on site. Food portions are large, hospitality is warm and generous, and it's a peaceful spot to spend an afternoon. Abundant courtyard seating (with heaters) for the warmly dressed (my first visit was in December). Highly recommended for people who want a Dublin oasis within an easy walk of Grafton/St. Stephen's/etc. Also of note: While the cafe has been in business for a couple of decades, it changed hands this year and the new owner, Julio, was on site, very warmly welcoming, and seems to have a happy staff working for him. UPDATE: Just noting after several more visits that my first impression has only cemented into a conviction that this is a world-class cafe and people who take the time to seek it out will leave feeling like the luckiest and best-liked customers who have ever visited.
A hidden gem behind a bookshop!Such a cozy and charming spot! Loved the Green Goddess ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the buttermilk pancakes ⭐⭐⭐⭐, though the fruit topping was a bit too sweet. The cappuccino ⭐⭐⭐ and hot chocolate ⭐⭐ weren’t my favorites, but the atmosphere, quick service and overall vibe made it a lovely place to relax and enjoy breakfast.
I love the breakfast and lunch options they have. Their drinks are delicious! The service is great; they're very friendly and helpful. I love going there to read a book quietly. The people are always smiling and kind. 🌿🍃🌱🍀😌🙌🏻 I love that the staff not only speaks English, I can speak Spanish and there are also some who speak Portuguese and Italian 👏🏻👏🏻🤍
