Amazing snack-lunch food. Hot and generous portions. They seemed short-staffed today, but the two staff (one seemed new) were amazing. So calm, customer focused and smiling. Will return!
Not great, hungry and not too expensive so didn’t grumble. Mozzarella the cheap grated variety. Dry cous cous no dressing no flavour, salad no dressing, sandwiches and wraps mediocre. Service fine, atmosphere okay. Avoid.
beautiful coffee and carrot cake, had to ask staff to clean spoons and forks, very friendly staff.
Free to get into (along with the Barracks). Menu has no gluten free savoury options except soup with no bread. The allergen list had a jacket potato though I couldn't see this on the menu. Most the menus don't have prices until you get to the till which is confusing. The soup of the day was advertised as spiced carrot & lentil though it was actually courgette (which was very nice). Ordered a mango smoothie however was told they aren't available after I'd ordered and sat down. Staff seemed nice enough but weren't informed on gluten free options or what the soup of the day is.
Every museum should have a café such as this one. We had an early lunch and everything was fresh and delicious (salad plate and vegan sausage roll, carrot cake and scone, iced coffees). The interior and ambiance are nice and chill ; we were served by Tony and Shresth and they were lovely. All in all, it's a bit out of the way but a great option if you're in the neighbourhood !
